WECAVIS automatically assigns one of four severity levels — minor, moderate, severe, or critical — to every defect or hazard report, using AI powered by Anthropic and xAI to analyze the submitted photo and description.

The process works as follows: a field worker photographs the defect on site, sends a short voice or text message via WhatsApp describing what was found and where, then forwards both to the WECAVIS bot. The AI transcribes the voice note, structures the content, and determines the severity classification based on the photo and the worker's description — no manual rating required. The assigned severity level is stored as a structured field in the automatically generated, timestamped, GPS-tagged PDF report.

For quality management reports, the AI additionally categorizes findings as "OK," "Auffällig" (notable), or "Mangelhaft" (defective). A site supervisor (Meister) can review, confirm, or correct the AI rating in the web portal with three clicks — corrections are saved and continuously improve the system's accuracy.
